TRACKER TOW BAR

Product Description

Roadmaster's simplest and most affordable tow bar.

The Tracker is a deluxe A-frame tow bar. A-frame tow bars require the towed vehicle to be positioned at just the right distance from the ball mount in order for the coupler to align and engage the ball. For occasional use, this is not a problem but for frequent or full time use, or for those that may have difficulty aligning the towed car with the towing vehicle, we recommend our self-aligning, collapsible tow bars.

Once the vehicle is properly positioned, simply lower the Tracker, latch the coupler onto the trailer ball, and tow away. When finished towing, unlatch the coupler and unpin the Tracker from the towed car's baseplate.

The Tracker is an upgrade from typical A-frame tow bars. Baked-on powder coat finish, an auto hinging arm, sealed tubular arms, and an included angle iron cross bar are a few of the significant differences. Tracker is designed and manufactured with the same care and precision as our higher end tow bars.

  • Made in the USA. The Tracker is designed, engineered and manufactured at our plant in Vancouver, Washington. Virtually every process is done under the same roof. We make all of the parts and pieces that make the final product. When we say, 'we made it,' that's because it is truly made by American workers who are part of the Roadmaster family.
  • Easy removal. When you reach your destination, the Tracker simply unpins from the vehicle. The arms hinge together. They are not bolted to a coupler and therefore require no tools for collapsing or storage. The Tracker can be removed and stored in seconds.
  • Connects to a ball mount. The Tracker's coupler connects directly to a 2-inch hitch ball.
  • Sealed arms. Both of Tracker's arms are welded shut on the ends. This keeps water, dirt, rust and debris out of the tow bar while also helping to maintain its appearance and longevity.
  • A lustrous, high-tech powder coat finish for maximum durability. This finish exceeds all 500-hour salt spray, high-impact and extreme weather standards. Electrically charged particles of pigment are sprayed onto the surface of the tow bar, then baked at more than 400 degrees. The paint fuses to the metal. The result is a uniform, thick and extremely durable finish — three times stronger than solvent-based paint.
  • Time tested and proven. For more than three decades, the Tracker has proven itself as superior to other basic A-frame tow bars. It is easier to use, more durable, and cost-effective.

Relentless Testing

FEA shows material weakness under stress, informing a better design.

Roadmaster was the first tow bar manufacturer to use computerized testing — as well as real world physical testing — to ensure structural integrity, longevity, and the safety of your family. Roadmaster’s computerized testing method is called FEA, which stands for Finite Element Analysis. FEA is the same method NASA, General Motors and Boeing use for testing.

Every FEA design is displayed as a full-scale, three-dimensional object, which engineers can rotate and study on the screen as they apply thousands of pounds of force across the load-bearing components. Stress in the aluminum or steel is pinpointed, and the design is manipulated to remove it. The result is a safe, trouble-free, long lasting product.

Important! The Tracker tow bar is designed to fit crossbar-style baseplates. It will not work with direct-connect baseplates.

The 020 is a Tracker Tow Bar with crossbar.
