Product Description
Comfort Ride Shock Absorber Third Axle Kit
Most trailers have two axles and are known as tandem axle trailers. Comfort Ride Shock Absorber kits include enough parts for a typical tandem axle trailer. But many larger, higher end trailers use three axles and are known as a triple axle trailers. The kits listed below contain the components for a 3rd axle only.
If installing Comfort Ride Shocks on a triple axle trailer, you will need one tandem axle kit AND one 3rd axle kit. This provides enough shocks and components for three axles.
Why doesn't Roadmaster sell a kit with everything you need for three axles? Logistics. Most people that purchase Comfort Ride Shocks also purchase Comfort Ride Slipper Springs. If you add the third axle components to the tandem axle box, they are too heavy to ship via small parcel. To prevent the need to ship by LTL freight truck, Roadmaster sells the third axle kits separately.
Comfort Ride shocks greatly improve the ease and comfort of towing your trailer or fifth wheel. To learn more about them, click here.
