Product Description
Emergency BrakeAway Kit and related components
The BrakeAway towed vehicle emergency braking system works with your BrakeMaster to bring your towed vehicle to a controlled stop should it ever separate from your motorhome. It is included with the BrakeMaster 9160 and 9060 but is sold separately for those who want to add it to the BrakeMaster 9100.
The 8600 BrakeAway is essentially an air storage tank with an automatic release valve. Should an emergency break away occur, the break away switch will send power to the BrakeAway. When energized, BrakeAway releases its stored air, bringing the towed vehicle to a safe stop.
When setting up a new towed vehicle, it is often less expensive to buy a new BrakeAway Kit than to pay labor to remove all of the old equipment from the old towed. This kit includes the BrakeAway, the break away switch, coiled break away cable and pin, mounting bracket, in-line fuse assembly, 15' of DOT air brakeline, 10' of wire, installation hardware and instructions.
- Works with all BrakeMaster braking systems
- Aluminum tank will not rust or corrode
