The 2000-8 is specifically designed to mount a Guardian rock shield onto a Roadmaster dolly. It provides all the protection and benefits a Guardian rock shield offers but does not require you to flat tow your vehicle with a tow bar. The Guardian mounts forward of the car so there is no need to ever remove it. It can be permanently attached to your dolly so it is always there and always protecting your car's finish and value.
Since the tow dolly's tongue height may vary (depending upon the receiver height), this adapter has a built in swivel that allows the Guardian to be tilted for maximum vehicle protection. The mount is secured to the dolly's tongue with 2 U-bolts. Even though it is designed for Roadmaster tow dollies, this mount should fit most other dollies with a 3" square tongue.
