Product Description
BRIGHT RED LED LIGHTS AND SOCKETS ... BYPASS YOUR CAR'S ELECTRICAL SYSTEM!
LED bulbs and sockets are typically used to wire a towed car for flat towing. They are permanently installed through the backside of the taillight housing. While towing, the LED's perform all turn signal, brake and park light functions at the rear of the towed vehicle.
LED's have significant safety and appearance advantages over incandescent bulbs. They are brighter, activate faster and have a much longer lifespan than incandescent bulbs. They are ideal for dinghy lighting systems because they generate almost no heat and can be used where incandescent bulbs would melt the taillight lens. Also, LED's draw significantly less power. The power comes from the front of the RV. The current must push through 40 to 60 feet of wire before hitting the bulbs at the rear of the towed vehicle. The LED's lower amperage requirements result in vastly brighter taillights when compared to incandescent bulbs.
The 152-2 includes two electrical pigtails, two sockets and two LED bulbs that illuminate red. This is important. White LED's behind a red lens result in pink colored taillights. Roadmaster specifically uses a bright red LED resulting in highly visible red taillights. Sockets fit a 1" diameter hole. Roadmaster also offers a 2 pack of red LED bulbs only, part number 152-50.
